Criteria
- Railway Recruitment first and the most important criteria is; candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Secondly candidates who are interested must hold Pass 10+2 with Physics and Maths. Along with it they must have degree in B.Sc. (Physics), and ITI in Computer Networking / Data Networking / Electrician/B.tech/B.E/M.tech/Etc. Candidates must passed from a recognized Institute/ University.
- Thirdly their age must be within 18-45 (as per requirements). But candidates cannot be above 45 years of age.
Round for Selection
The First Stage is The Prelims examination. It will comprise of 4
sections i.e. Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence,
General Awareness and General Science. It carries a total of 100 questions of 1
mark each.

The candidates qualifying the prelims move to the next stage. It
is the Second Stage which is the Main. It will comprise of 4 sections
i.e. Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence, General
Awareness and General Science. It carries a total of 100 questions of 1 mark
each.

- Medical Examination: Every candidate has to go through the medical test examination round. This is done by the Railway Administrative department to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties. This consists of the Visual Standards of the Candidates. Both the Distance and near vision test are compulsory without glasses. It also includes the colour vision, binocular vision, Field of Vision and Night Vision.
- The last and the final stage is the ‘interview’ round. Once the candidate qualifies this round they get the job for the required post.
Negative Marking
Marks are deducted for each wrong
answer by 1/3 from the allotted marks given to each question.
Types of exam held under Railway
Good Guard:
- The Railway Recruitment Board announces the job requirement for the posts of the Goods Guard & Assistant Station Master every year. Ticket Collector:

Railway Engineer:

Syllabus
There are many divisions in the syllabus for

General Awareness:

Technical Ability (If Any):
