IBPS Examination Latest Pattern 2017-2018


We all know IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. They are an independent organization in India. It became an independent unit at the request of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. IBPS is intended as self-governed academic and study related institute. It has a mission of improving human-resource development through person’s valuation. Most of the Banking Examinations is Conducted By IBPS, Lets have some Facts about the Pattern of the Examination.


TYPES OF EXAMINATION:
We know that many candidates seek for banking jobs.  Therefore recruitment in such jobs can only be done through this IBPS examination. It helps the candidates to cross the gate of the bank and sit on their preferred post.

Previously we all know IBPS Examinations conduct 5 exams each year. The pattern has change now. Each examination would comprise of two examinations for the post of provisional officer, two for the post of assistant officer and for Regional Rural Banks (RRB).

According to the new pattern,  IBPS will conduct only one exam every year for each category like IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO, IBPS RRB and others vacancies..

Now if any candidate fails to succeed in the examination will have to wait for a year in order to give the exam again. Moreover the candidates who pass the exam have to go through interview session and get through it.

IBPS PRE EXAMINATION PATTERN:

The IBPS PO Pre exam will be of 1 hour duration. The total number of questions asked will be 100 in this exam. There are three section of this examination. The first section is of 30 marks and the rest two sections are of 35 marks each. The syllabus of this section will be same as that of mains. Only the difficulty level varies.

IBPS MAIN EXAMINATION PATTERN:

This examination is written test paper which is divided in 5 sections. These five units are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and General Awareness. This is related with special reference to banking department and Computer knowledge. All the 5 sections completely detailed syllabus is given below.

SYLLABUS:

IBPS PO Reasoning Section Syllabus: 
This part consists of alphabet test, mathematical operations test, series test, analogy. Odd Man out, Classification, Syllogism, Coding-decoding, Blood relations, Puzzle, Figure Series, Word formation and Series

IBPS PO Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus:
Topics of this section are - Number system, HCF & LCM, Number series, Problems based on numbers, Decimal fractions, Square root and cube root, Simplifications etc.

IBPS PO SYLLABUS for English language section:
Topics of this section are - Spotting the errors, Phrase substitution, Ordering of sentences or jumbled up sentences, Double blanks in a sentence, Fill in the blanks, Idioms & Phrases, Choosing the appropriate filler, Synonyms and antonyms, Reconstruction of sentence & passage, Comprehensions etc.

IBPS PO General awareness Syllabus:
Topics of this section are-Banking Terms, Current Rates, Ministers and their departments, Indian Economy, International Economy, Questions related to International Financial Institutions,  Various schemes of Government, Books & Their Authors, Types of Banks, GDP related, RBI, Fiscal-Monetary Policies etc., Social Function of Banks, UNO, Marketing, Sports, Budget, Agriculture, Current Affairs (last 6 months) etc.

IBPS PO Computer knowledge section:
Topics of this section are- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office),
Operating Systems, Number System, Software & Hardware questions, History of computers, Computer abbreviation, Microsoft-office, Basic knowledge of Internet & Networking etc.

IBPS Exam Negative Marking concept:
Negative marking concept is very simple in this examination. On every wrong answer 0.25 will be deducted from total score. All participants must require qualifying on each paper after negative marking process.
